Sucasa Produce was established in 1982, marketing squash, beans, melons and tomatoes from Mexico to the domestic United States market. The company started out in a small leased facility in Nogales, Arizona, with an annual volume of 500,000 package units. Five years later, Sucasa purchased land and built their own facility in Nogales, which encompasses 20,000 square feet of refrigerated space.

Over the years the company has grown, adding sales and support staff, and currently ships 4,500,00 to 5,000,000 cartons per year with a product line that includes tomatoes (vine-ripe, roma, hydroponic), green beans, summer squash, chili peppers, bell peppers (green and colored), seeded and seedless watermelon, cucumbers, eggplant and sweet corn. Sucasa Produce now ranks as one of the largest independent produce marketers in the Nogales area. Future plans for the next few years include expansion of 30,000 to 35,000 additional square feet to increase capacity.
